Participatory budget: program carries out action in Picos aimed at registering proposals The popular vote on the Digital Participatory Budget (OPA) 2026-2027 begins this Friday (12). The population can evaluate between around 800 proposals. Voting closes on June 21st. The proposals with the most votes will be included in the state budget and implemented from 2027. To participate, you just need to be 16 years old or over, have a CPF number and reside in one of the five municipalities. Work carried out after approval of proposal in the Digital Participatory Budget Disclosure/Seplan The OPA program allows the population to participate in the preparation of the annual budget for the State of Piauí. With this tool, citizens can indicate how they want part of public resources to be invested in their municipalities. The areas that can receive works and services based on public voting are: urban mobility (445 proposals), sport and leisure (251), security and justice (116), productivity and agriculture (106), culture (66) and digital transformation (50). The 1,034 proposals were presented by 499 entities. According to Seplan, 93% of the winning plans in popular votes from previous editions have been implemented or are being implemented.
