"It is routine in our preventive patrolling for us to stop, make contact with traders, residents. We stopped there, close to the field, and the idea came up for one of the soldiers to play ball with the boys", explained Sergeant Marcos Vinicius, responsible for the police team. "These actions with the community bring us even closer to the population. We start to be seen not only as a stereotype of repressive police, but we also start to be seen as friendly police.
