Driver is forcibly removed from convertible car and taken by armed men in Vitória A 30-year-old influencer and high-risk cryptocurrency investor was kidnapped after being captured by criminals while driving a luxury car in the Jardim Camburi neighborhood, in Vitória, on Thursday morning (11). Hours later, he was found by police in Serra, Greater Vitória, and said he fled from eight armed men through a forested area. The kidnapping was recorded by a security camera. In the video, it is possible to see the moment in which the victim, driver of the Porsche convertible, was captured and forcibly placed in a silver Celta (watch above). The victim is an influencer who presents himself as a high-risk cryptocurrency investor on social media. He was driving a Porsche convertible in Jardim Camburi, Vitória, and said he was returning from a footvolley class when he was approached. On Instagram, he has more than 81 thousand followers, sharing photos of trips around Europe and with several luxury cars. He also talks about his work with digital currencies. Two men got out of the vehicle and approached the driver. Despite trying to resist, the victim was removed from the Porsche, attacked and placed in the back seat of the Celta. One of the suspects then took the wheel of the luxury vehicle and fled, while the victim was taken from the scene in the criminals' car. The action was witnessed by residents and traders in the region. "We were in the salon and saw that he was trying to free himself. They were pointing a gun at his head. The man behind the wheel hit him and another, armed, got into the luxury car and fled towards Serra", reported an employee of a beauty salon close to the place. The victim had left a footvolley class and was heading home when he was approached. According to the PM, he lives in the Jardim Camburi neighborhood. The influencer's vehicle was recovered. Where was the influencer taken? The investor was taken by criminals to the city of Serra. The police, once informed of the kidnapping by witnesses, identified the vehicles involved and began monitoring them through Electronic Siege. With the help of monitoring images, the corporation's teams developed a tactical siege to reach the cars. Simultaneously, the lieutenant explained, the police began monitoring the location of the victim's cell phone. "The electronic siege gave us information that they went towards Serra. Parallel to this, one of our garrisons from the 2nd Independent Company contacted the victim's father and he began providing the location of the victim's cell phone in real time", said Tavares. After the mobilization, the PM teams arrived at an address located in the Jardim Carapina neighborhood, which corresponded to a residence. How was the victim found? Upon arriving at the address where the victim's cell phone was located, in the Jardim Carapina neighborhood, the police accessed, with authorization from the property owner, the back of the house. There was a bank and an area of ​​dense forest. "We started searching and couldn't find anything. So, we went outside the house a little to discuss what the next steps would be," said the lieutenant. After this first search, the police decided to return for a new search. At this moment, they found the influencer. "The victim appeared there on the bank, very scared, reporting that the individuals had taken her somewhere in the woods, a little further away from the house, and he had managed to escape from them." After the victim's report, the police returned to the forest to try to locate the criminals. How did the investor manage to escape? According to the police, the victim said he fled from eight armed criminals and went towards the team after fleeing through the woods in the region. He said he heard the police in the house, took off his hood and, still with his hands tied, went down the ravine and asked for help, finding the police. The influencer also told the police that he lost his cell phone during his escape (the last location would be the house inspected by the police), which would have compromised the sharing of his location in real time. There is no information about the device. What did the criminals want? According to the victim, during the kidnapping the criminals forced her to transfer R$15,000 in cryptocurrencies. The man then told the kidnappers that he no longer had any money. The investigation is still ongoing and the police have not concluded that this was the motivation for the crime. How many suspects participated in the action? It still remains to be clarified how many suspects participated in the action. So far, there are images of two men carrying out the kidnapping. However, according to the PM lieutenant, the HB20 vehicle, which was in front of the Porsche, also participated in the crime, which increases the number of people involved. Furthermore, the influencer reported having fled from eight armed men. According to the investor, it is also possible that there was another person, who was not there, participating in the action. He said that after transferring R$15,000 in cryptocurrencies, the kidnappers contacted a third suspect. "We don't know where he was, if he knew the victim, or if he was giving coordinates to these eight individuals," said police officer Tavares. He has police records for drug trafficking, threats and other crimes. His involvement in the kidnapping is still being investigated by the Civil Police. Two firearms with suppressed numbers were also seized, including a 9mm caliber pistol equipped with a laser sight and conversion device for automatic fire and a .380 caliber pistol, in addition to three chargers, ammunition and five cell phones.
