NEW YORK (Reuters) - European Football Association (UEFA) on the 11th appointed Omar Altan, who was supposed to be the first Somalian to referee the World Cup in North and Central America but was refused entry to the United States, to referee the UEFA Super Cup. Altan was on the refereeing team for the World Cup held on the 11th, but despite having a valid visa, U.S. authorities suspected him of being a member of a terrorist organization.
