Master Case: PF rejects Daniel Vorcaro’s second plea bargain proposal The Federal Police rejected the second proposal for a plea bargain from banker Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master. 📱Bookmark g1 on Google and follow the main news of the day Vorcaro is arrested in Brasília, accused of leading a billion-dollar financial fraud scheme that could reach R$12 billion, according to the PF. Last month, the PF rejected a first version of the plea. The agreement continues to be negotiated with the PF and the PGR jointly. Investigators had been complaining that the material presented by the defense added little to what had already been raised by the PF and that the impression was that Vorcaro was acting to protect people close to him. Reproduction Master case investigation The PF seized more than eight cell phones from Daniel Vorcaro and only the initial examination of some of these phones has already revealed that the banker's scheme goes beyond a financial fraud scheme, involving corruption, criminal organization and the use of a private militia to attack opponents and access confidential data. Last month, also following a request from the PF, Vorcaro was transferred to a common cell at the Federal Police Superintendency in Brasilia, where he is subject to the PF's internal rules to, for example, receive visits from lawyers. Before, he was in a "general staff room" style room, the same space used to arrest former president Jair Bolsonaro, between November 2025 and January this year. Vorcaro had been transferred on March 19 from the Federal Penitentiary of Brasília to the Federal Police Superintendence, in the center of the capital. The day before the transfer, the banker's lawyer had contacted the PF to inform him of the banker's interest in signing a plea bargain agreement. On the same day, Vorcaro signed the confidentiality agreement and opened the way for the complaint. In early May, Daniel Vorcaro's defense finalized the annexes to the banker's plea bargain and the material produced was handed over to the authorities on a flash drive.
