In total, five arrest warrants and six search and seizure warrants were executed. During the operation, nine cell phones and portions of a substance similar to marijuana were also collected. According to the investigation, members of a criminal faction invaded the victims' home after suspecting that one of the residents was passing on information about drug trafficking to the Military Police. According to the investigation, the couple and their two children were threatened and attacked inside the residence. The police say there was physical and psychological violence, as well as death threats. From this episode, six people were identified as participants in the criminal action. During a press conference, the Civil Police informed that they intend to classify the suspects under stricter legislation, aimed at criminal organizations considered ultra-violent. In this case, the penalties may be higher than those provided for in current law and compliance with the sentence may have more severe rules. The security forces highlighted that the offensive is part of a set of actions to combat the activities of criminal factions in the region. The investigations remain ongoing and new arrests may occur.
