The three winning streets will be chosen by a team defined by the organizers and announced at an event on Thursday night. The criteria for choosing the three best will be creativity, organization, originality and suitability for the theme. In total, the competition received entries from 52 two streets. Of these, 24 completed the decoration within the competition rules. The director of the Parima group, Ianna Borges, said that participation in the competition was above projections. "We said: if at least five streets sign up. When we saw 52 streets signed up, it was much more than we expected," he said. The competition was launched in May and received entries between the 13th and 25th. Participating streets had until June 5th to complete the decorations, which could include flags, paintings, banners, lighting and other football-inspired elements.
