Disclosure
Brazilians' passion for football will be the starting point for transforming public spaces and strengthening the feeling of belonging in communities in Macapá. With urban art, collective meetings and environmental education initiatives, the “Amapá em Campo” project will take free activities to areas impacted by social and environmental vulnerabilities, on the 13th, 19th, 23rd and 24th of June.
Three bridges located in regions subject to flooding will be converted into true open-air artistic panels. In total, around a thousand meters of paintings inspired by football and the Amazonian identity will be created by local artists, generating opportunities for the creative economy and valuing community living spaces.

In addition to urban revitalization, the project will promote the planting of 100 seedlings and an awareness campaign about one of the main environmental challenges in the urban areas of Macapá: the irregular disposal of waste and its impacts on worsening flooding.
The initiative will also broadcast educational content pills on radio, TV and digital platforms. The objective of the messages will be to raise awareness among residents about urban environmental impacts in Amapá, highlighting the relationship between inadequate waste disposal, obstruction of drainage and increased flooding. The proposal is to encourage changes in behavior in everyday life, contributing to the preservation and appreciation of collective living spaces.
