Daughter records father's death during GCM action The young man stabbed by José de Moura, a 78-year-old man who was killed in an action by the Metropolitan Civil Guard of Senador Canedo, died after days spent in the Goiás Emergency Hospital, according to delegate Adriano Jaime. Lucas Emanuell Cardoso, 25 years old, was allegedly stabbed due to a disagreement involving the elderly man's dog. The case happened on June 5th. A video of the moment the elderly man, suspected of attempted murder at the time, was killed by guards began to circulate on social media (see above). In a note sent on June 7, the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) of Senador Canedo lamented the death of the elderly man, but highlighted that the guards sought all ways to resolve the case without the use of force. Even considering that all protocols were followed in the incident, an administrative investigation has already been opened at the Internal Affairs Department, to determine the facts (read the full note at the end of the report). According to investigations, after this disagreement over the dog, José took a knife and hit Lucas. "There was a first argument between a boy who we have not yet identified and Lucas, about the dog. And José went there, since the dog was his, and stabbed Lucas", said the police chief. The police are still listening to witnesses and waiting for the results of some reports to conclude the investigation and understand how this fight actually happened. However, the delegate told g1 that he must ask for the case to be closed due to the extinction of the punishment of the author, who is dead. According to the family's report to the police, the knife hit the young man's lungs and heart. To g1, Vitória Bonfim, Lucas's wife, said that her husband lived in Goiás, but was from Rio Grande do Norte. There is still no information about the wake and burial. José was found in his home, in Setor Jardim Liberdade. According to the GCM, the agents had to break down the door of the house and, inside, negotiations began for him to surrender. The video recorded by the suspect's daughter shows part of this negotiation, while the police are at the door of the room where the elderly man was staying. According to the GCM, the agents reacted with a stun gun, but were forced to use a firearm to restrain the elderly man. “The medical expert told me that they had stun gun darts on José. So, actually, the guard, before firing a firearm, they tried to use the taser, but it didn't work,” said the police chief.
