The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized irregular medications used for weight loss on Wednesday night (10), on BR-116, in Manhuaçu. According to the police, the products were in luggage checked in from a bus that ran between Rio de Janeiro and Salvador.
According to the PRF, during an inspection aimed at combating crime, the agents ordered the vehicle to stop and checked the luggage. During the search, 60 ampoules of the drug Tirzepatide and two boxes of the drug Retatrutide were found.

According to the corporation, the sale of medicines is prohibited in Brazil. Another point highlighted was storage, as the products were not refrigerated, which could pose a risk to anyone who uses them.
The seized medicines were sent to the Federal Revenue Service. The incident will be passed on to the Federal Police, who must try to identify the person responsible for the cargo. The PRF did not say whether there were any detainees.
