Also according to the police, the investigations began after the security sector of a financial institution identified an operation, considered suspicious, involving the financing of a vehicle valued at R$72,000, which was carried out using credentials linked to a vehicle store in the city center. The investigations also showed that suspects had obtained the woman's documents and images through a scam, in which job selection processes were simulated to collect personal information and photos, which were used in car financing. The owners did not know that their vehicles were registered as objects of negotiation. The agents went to the agency and did not find any vehicle under negotiation. The owners of the establishment said that the store's credentials were shared with the businessman being investigated. The corporation also reported that the owners then called the suspect using the phone's speakerphone, who recognized that he was responsible for the financing operation. The Civil Police also reported that the suspect was found at a toll booth, on BR-040, in Areal (RJ). He was then taken to the Paraíba do Sul police station. The suspect will be charged with the crimes of financial fraud and criminal association. The man is at the disposal of Justice and his identity has not been disclosed. An inquiry was launched to investigate the participation of the owners of another agency.
