The moment had repercussions on social media and generated speculation about the reason for the refusal. To g1, João Gabriel, who has worked as a civil firefighter and rescuer since 2019, informed that the decision was related to his professional attitude and the responsibilities he held at that time.
"In the stage sector there is me and another firefighter, as I am the supervisor, Henrique and Juliano's own band requested my presence in front of the stage together with the band's security guard. My role there, at that moment, was to prevent the artist, and as I had a privileged view, guide my teammates who were in the audience to possible occurrences", he explained.

When recalling the situation, João said that he was surprised when Henrique handed him the microphone during the song. According to him, in addition to being focused on work, singing is not a skill he has mastered.
"Out of nowhere, he handed me the microphone and asked me to sing. Immediately, I handed it over, because imagine the size of the responsibility that was in my hands at that moment, in addition to taking care of the singer up there, having to sing for him. I didn't sing, because I'm not a singer, and I don't even know how to sing", he said.
The episode was associated by internet users with other moments of interaction between artists and professionals who work in the shows. In 2023, singer Gusttavo Lima offered alcoholic drinks to a security guard during a performance at São João de Campina Grande. After the incident, the employee ended up being fired.
Despite the comparisons, João highlighted that the decision not to sing was exclusively personal.
"It wasn't fear, I refused because I didn't really know how to sing, I even knew the lyrics to the song, but I didn't sing. In terms of work, there wouldn't be any risk", he detailed.
Another point that caught attention on social media was what the rescuer said to the artist when returning the microphone. According to João, he replied: “You better be a singer and I be a firefighter, otherwise the people will leave”, which made Henrique laugh.
Despite not having joined in on the joke, the professional said he was happy with the singer's gesture and the positive repercussion of the moment.
"I was very happy with the request, as it shows the trust placed in my work and, mainly, because the artist himself had the humility and affection for me, to come, play, hug. He recognized and thanked me for my work up there. Who would have thought that I would have a few seconds of fame without singing a single note?", concluded the professional.
