Montes Claros City Hall is building another “Ponto Certo”, this time in Bairro Amazonas, in the northern region of the city. After the earthworks, the construction of the wall that delimits the site began. The works are carried out by the Municipal Services, Works and Urbanization Company (Esurb). The unit will have the structure to receive bulky waste, from civil construction and pruning.
At Ponto Certo, discarded materials will undergo sorting, where waste suitable for recycling will be separated. It is important to highlight that the place will be able to be used by both cart drivers and the general population.
In these units, each person can dispose of up to 1 cubic meter of the following materials free of charge: construction waste, prunings and bulky waste such as old furniture, mattresses and sofas. It is always important to emphasize that the population must dispose of construction waste and other unusable waste only at CASCOs (Simplified Support Centers for Cart Drivers) or at Pontos Certos, places designated for this purpose and where cleaning operations regularly take place.
Irregular disposal not only compromises public health, but also harms the environment, with serious consequences for people.
Soon, another Ponto Certo will be available to the population of Montes Claros
