Two men arrested suspected of involvement in the disappearance of baby José Arthur Sousa Barros were released this Wednesday (10), in Eldorado do Carajás, in the southeast of Pará.
According to the State Secretariat for Penitentiary Administration (Seap), Roserlândio Castro de Almeida and Evandro Firmino da Silva “left State custody due to the end of the period of temporary imprisonment decreed for both of them”.

The two had been arrested on April 10, during a joint operation by the Carajás Regional Superintendence, the Eldorado Police Station and the Missing Persons Police Station, linked to the Homicide Division in the capital of Pará.
The arrests took place in Vila Peruana and the Bom Jardim neighborhood. According to investigations, the suspects were family friends and frequented the house where the child disappeared.
José Arthur Sousa Barros has been missing since Thursday (26).

Baby José Arthur Sousa Barros, aged one year and seven months, has been missing for more than two months, since March 26, in the municipality of Eldorado do Carajás.
The child's mother, Geiciara Souza Gonçalves, says that her son's memories are everywhere.
"Bedtime is the most painful, because he always slept with me", he says.

Two months after José Artur's disappearance, the Civil Police reported that they are continuing to investigate the case and that "they are in the analysis phase of the data extracted" from cell phones seized in April.
"The child disappeared on the night of March 26th while playing with his cousins outside the residence where he lived, in a rural area," according to the police.
Since then, searches have been carried out with firefighters, local residents, sniffer dogs and even drones and divers, but no trace of the child has been found.

In addition to the cell phones seized, more than 25 people were interviewed during the investigations and two suspects were arrested.
José Artur lived with his family in a house in Vila Peruana, close to the Lourival Santana Settlement, in the rural area of Eldorado do Carajás, a city 650 km from Belém.

The region where the child disappeared is marked by a landscape made up of areas of vegetation and a river, in addition to the passage of a federal highway.
The police reported that "investigations and investigations are ongoing through the Eldorado do Carajás Police Station." The case is under secrecy.
