The 26-year-old woman, who was arrested on May 14 for mistreating her three children, aged between 2 and 8, was arrested again this Wednesday (10) during an operation by the Civil Police of Cerquilho (SP). In addition to her, six other people were detained. The operation combatted robbery crimes in city condominiums. According to delegate Emerson Jesus Martins, the suspect was part of the gang. In all cases, the criminals, who already had a previous criminal record for robbery, theft and drug trafficking, acted violently against the victims. According to the delegate, the suspect underwent a custody hearing and was placed in preventive detention by the courts. Child abuse The woman was arrested in May after her 2-year-old son defecated a condom at the daycare center where he goes to school. The police went to the family's home, in Parque das Árvores, and found that the children did not have access to water and were eating directly on the floor of the house, which was covered in feces and other excrement. Police reported that the children were eating on the floor of the house, which was covered in dirt. Civil Police/Disclosure The Cerquilho Guardianship Council is also being investigated for alleged malfeasance in the case. According to the Civil Police, the counselors had instructed the unit's employees to flush the toilet and not report the incident to the authorities. The child was taken to the hospital by the counselors, who did not allow her to be accompanied by the teacher and the daycare director. Investigations also indicate that the girl was released from the hospital and handed over to her mother without the police's consent. According to the delegate, the mother had previously been reported for mistreatment of her children. At the time, the woman was arrested for the crimes of ill-treatment, rape of a vulnerable person and contempt. The court subsequently granted her house arrest, and she began to be monitored by the Civil Police. In a statement, the Cerquilho Guardianship Council states that the allegations made by the Civil Police are false and do not correspond to the truth.
