Firefighters found a backpack, hammock and two dogs on the banks of the river. Disclosure/Fire Department Fisherman Antônio da Silva Morais, 64 years old, who had been missing since the 6th, in Araguaína, in the northern region of the state, was found dead this Wednesday morning (10). According to the Fire Department, the body was located in a forested area, in an advanced state of decomposition. The case began to be monitored by the authorities on Monday (8), when Antônio's son called for help. According to firefighters, people found the elderly man's personal belongings, such as a hammock and a backpack, as well as two of the three dogs that accompanied him, on the banks of the river, in Sector JK. The search for Antônio lasted three days and mobilized land, water and air teams. After being taken to the Center's headquarters, the body underwent an autopsy and was released to family members.
