The penultimate day of the Russian swimming championship turned into another benefit performance for Yegor Kornev. He took to the start line twice within an hour of each other - in the semi-finals of the 100-meter freestyle and the fifty-meter butterfly - and twice rewrote the country's records, despite the fact that he was almost late for the second distance. In a non-core discipline, the St. Petersburg resident surpassed the achievement of Oleg Kostin with a result of 22.59 seconds, and in his favorite sprint he displaced Kliment Kolesnikov from the improvised Olympus, becoming the first in the country who managed to exchange 47 seconds.
