Rendez Vous Canada (RVC) is the largest and most important event in the Canadian tourism market, bringing together hundreds of local exhibitors, such as receptions, tourism bodies from cities and provinces, national entities - such as Parks Canada, all with the joint objective of promoting Canadian tourism to the rest of the world.
Extraordinary Canada and its partners, the airline Air Canada and the receptive Global Tourisme, took a delegation of 14 Brazilian companies and 13 buyers to the country. All with the aim of increasing their offerings in Canada and getting to know more about the country to bring the best to their network of agencies and consumers.
On the same day, representatives of operators, the General Director of Air Canada Brazil, Giancarlo Takegawa, the CEO of VBRA, Sheila Nassar, and ten representatives of Brazilian tour operators visited the Air Canada Operations Center to learn about the entire journey of the airline's flight control and customer service processes, which has a Four-star rating from Skytrax. The Control Center surprised us with its technology and governance, with defined but integrated areas of activity and careful control of maintenance in adverse weather conditions.

“Taking our partners to our home, showing our legitimate concern for care and delivering quality, technology and control is important, because we deal with many variables, and knowing that there is a team committed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, is something they need and that we deliver”, comments Giancarlo Takegawa, General Director of Air Canada Brasil, who accompanied the group on the visit.
After lunch with other international customers and Air Canada staff, the group met at the Rendez Vous Canada opening event at the CN Tower, an iconic tourist attraction in Toronto.
From the CN Tower the group headed to the Hothouse restaurant, at 35 Church Street in Toronto for a dinner hosted by Air Canada and Global Tourisme. A statue of the Canadian mascot for the 2026 World Cup, Maple Beaver - as he was affectionately nicknamed, painted in the colors of the Brazilian flag, awaited the group.
The place was carefully chosen to make the delegation feel at home. Representatives from Global Tourisme and Air Canada explained the importance of the Brazilian market, as well as the Latin American market for Canada and thanked those present for their availability to attend the Rendez Vous and learn more about the experiences that Canadian destinations offer to their local public.
The dinner was attended by journalist, tour guide and NFL sports commentator, Paulo Mancha, who also receives groups of Brazilians on trips to Canada with Global Tourisme.

There were three days of Rendez Vous Canada meetings and the Brazilian delegation led by Extraordinary Canada held more than 900, which will result in more quality and benefits for Brazilian travelers who wish to get to know Canada.
The event made it possible to increase the number of experiences offered in the country, from the northern lights to visits to major urban centers, as well as updating those who sell on the new features that each service and destination brings during the season.
According to Luzana Rada, CEO of Global Tourisme, the Brazilian market occupies a strategic position for Canadian tourism.
"Our stand became a real meeting point for Brazilians during Rendez-vous Canada. We are very pleased with the results and the opportunities created for more travelers from Brazil to discover Canada with service in Portuguese, 24-hour support and personalized experiences." Luzana speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese and offers weekly Portuguese classes for her entire team.

The group of Brazilians was also invited to a dinner with Calgary Tourism, which recently hired VBRA to expand its relationship and operations in the Brazilian market. VBRA also serves Global Tourisme, VIA Rail Canada, Air Canada and Extraordinário Canada with different deliveries throughout the national territory. Marilyn Bell, Vice President of International Markets for Calgary Tourism, who has known the Brazilian market for years with her previous work with Castelos Fairmont Hotels in Western Canada, and Paula Garcia, International Markets Manager for Calgary Tourism, were the hosts of this exclusive dinner for the Brazilian delegation and Canadian partners, such as VIA Rail Canada, Global Tourisme, Air Canada, West Jet, Jonview, Jasper Tourism and Banff Lake Louise Tourisme. The venue for the event was Le Select Bistro, at 432 Wellington Street West, known for its exclusive cuts of prime meat.

Many buyers went on familiarization trips - where they see in situ what tourists will visit later, in the regions of Muskoka, Blue Mountain, Niagara, Kingston and Quebec.
“The role of Extraordinário Canada is precisely to create bridges and expand relationships between markets and we are achieving this goal faster and better”, celebrates Sheila Nassar, CEO of VBRA, a tourism intelligence consultancy that created and coordinates Extraordinário Canada.
"With more knowledge, contacts and experiences in Canada, we hope that the Brazilian tourism market can expand its sales in a qualified way and with offers for all types of travelers", concludes Sheila.
VIA Rail Canada reported growth of 22% in the year 2025 and considered the increase a result of phase one tactics of the Extraordinary Canada consortium. Global Tourisme also closed the year 2025 with a 30% increase in sales to Brazil. The consortium is expected to promote a return of 100:1 Canadian dollars invested in Brazil over the next 2 years.
The contacts and experiences of Rendez Vous Canada should result in incredible trips for Brazilian tourists, also opening the doors for Canadian tourists to visit Brazil, especially with regard to airlines that need the flow of passengers at both ends. With this, Extraordinary Canada is also beginning to pave the way for Brazilian destinations that want to welcome curious and kind Canadian tourists here in Brazil.
In 2027 Rendez Vous Canada will be in the city of Calgary, in the Alberta Province, known as the gateway to the Banff/Lake Louise and Jasper national parks, from April 28th to May 1st.
