Police seize in Novo Progresso aircraft taken from company in Goiânia The small aircraft found in Pará and which had been stolen on a flight from Goiânia was taken back to São Paulo. The aircraft would have been taken to the Querência region, in Mato Grosso, where it presented mechanical failures, according to investigations. After repairs, the pilot would have returned to using the plane without authorization, until the aircraft disappeared again. The case was then reported to the authorities and began to be investigated as a theft. Investigations indicate that the plane arrived in Novo Progresso on Friday (5). The police carried out searches to locate the pilot, who disappeared after abandoning the aircraft. He was not found. With the plane located in Novo Progresso, the Military Police contacted the competent bodies to take the necessary legal and administrative measures. The company also informed the police that it would hire private security to guard the location and protect the aircraft until the arrival of representatives of the owner, who were scheduled to leave São Paulo to monitor the procedures.
