The building of the “Defense of Sevastopol” panorama was completely burned down during the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: according to local authorities, “nothing remained” of the museum. The fire has now been contained, but there is a risk of the dome collapsing. At the same time, the historical fragments of the painting by Franz Roubaud are not damaged, since the museum presented a copy painted in 1954 by a group of Soviet artists.
