Groundwater: 51 exploratory holes completed with a total throughput of 122 liters per second

As part of Morocco’s ongoing efforts to enhance water security and diversify sources of water supply, the “Water Diyala” platform, affiliated with the Ministry of Equipment and Water, reported that the Lacus Aquarium Agency completed during the year 2024 a large groundwater exploration campaign that included 7 prefectures and provinces in the northern region, namely Tetouan, Larache, Ouzane, Chefchaouen, and Al Hoceima, in addition to the Tangier-Asilah Province and the M’diq-Fnideq Province.
