PRF seizes more than R$1.5 million worth of drugs and arrests three men for trafficking in RN Disclosure/PRF The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized more than R$1.5 million in drugs and almost R$150,000 in cash on Wednesday night (9), in two actions in the municipalities of São José de Mipibu and Itajá. Three men were arrested for drug trafficking. The highest value seizure occurred at around 7:40 pm, at km 118 of BR-101, in São José de Mipibu. Upon noticing the police approach, the drivers tried to flee. One of them escaped on foot and the other was arrested. According to the PRF, the drugs left Pernambuco and were destined for the city of Natal. Almost R$150,000 in cash were seized from drug trafficking suspects in RN Disclosure/PRF The other incident was recorded earlier, at 6:15 pm, at km 118 of BR-304, in Itajá. In joint action with the Military Police (PM), the PRF intercepted a Fiat Toro pickup truck and found approximately 1.1 kilos of hashish and 100 ecstasy pills. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were arrested. The three men detained and the drugs and money seized were sent to the Civil Police and the Federal Police. The actions are part of Operation Festejos Juninos 2026, which intensifies inspection and the fight against crime on federal highways during the month of June.
