Woman falls into manhole and is rescued by people during rain in Santarém, PA A woman was rescued after falling into a manhole on Avenida Curuá-Una, in Santarém, in the west of Pará. She was walking on the road, which was flooded, after a storm that hit the city early this Wednesday morning (10). ✅ Follow the g1 Santarém e Região channel on WhatsApp Videos show the moment that residents of the Santissimo neighborhood carry the woman to remove her from the manhole. The street was flooded after heavy rain. (see video above). After the rescue, she was attended to by the Fire Department. According to information from witnesses, she had injuries to her back, and needed to be taken to the Emergency Room, due to suspected head trauma. TV Tapajós requested a position from the Secretariat of Urbanism and Public Services of Santarém, but so far we have not heard back.
