Civil Police arrest those involved in the death of a teenager in 'crime court' after conviction in Roraima. The Jury Court condemned the duo definitively for participating in the torture and death of teenager Laura Rosa Macedo Marinho, aged 17. The crime occurred in 2019, during a "crime court" promoted by a faction. Both must serve their sentences in a closed regime. On the night of the 18th, a Sunday, members of a faction kidnapped Laura Rosa and her 21-year-old sister. The criminals used a false invitation for a snack and took the victims to a house in the Caranã neighborhood, west of the capital. The victim's sister managed to escape on Monday (19) and called the Military Police. Laura Rosa remained in captivity, where she was tortured. One of those involved hit the teenager in the head with a gun several times. The criminals were suspicious of the young woman's supposed relationship with a member of a rival faction. Still on Monday, the police went to the prison in Caranã and arrested Fernanda Carneiro do Nascimento. In testimony at the time, Fernanda confessed to holding the "crime court" and confirmed the young woman's death sentence. She also revealed the names of those responsible for taking the victim to the execution site. Karen de Oliveira Fernandes was arrested in the same operation, alongside four other adults and a teenager. During the investigations at the Vila Jardim residential complex, two suspects died in an exchange of gunfire with the police. Police seized weapons, drugs, money and the car used in the kidnapping. Despite the arrests, the criminals killed Laura Rosa in the afternoon of that same day. The executioners took the victim to the João de Barro neighborhood, also in the west of Boa Vista, and beheaded him. Security forces searched for the teenager throughout the week, including using drones. Firefighters and police only found her body on Friday, five days after the crime, buried in a shallow grave in a buritizal area, following an anonymous tip.
