Heat will increase in Himachal Pradesh today and tomorrow. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert of heatwave. This warning has been given to Una, Bilaspur and Solan districts. The temperature in 7 cities of the state has already crossed 35 degrees and at 13 places it has crossed 30 degrees. The maximum temperature of Una has reached 40.6 degrees Celsius, 1.7 degrees above normal. Kangra recorded 37.7 degrees, Sundernagar 37.5 degrees, Nahan 35.8 degrees, Neri 38.4 degrees, Barthi 37 degrees and Mandi 37.2 degrees. The temperature is likely to rise by three to four degrees Celsius during the next 48 hours. It is a matter of relief that the heat will not last long in the mountains. According to the Meteorological Department, Western Disturbance is becoming active on the night of June 10. In view of this, an alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunderstorm and heavy hailstorm in all 10 districts except Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti on June 11 and 12. Orange alert has been given in these 4 districts, yellow alert has been issued in Kullu, Mandi, Shimla and Sirmaur districts, while yellow alert has been issued in other districts. During this period, strong winds with a speed of 50 kilometers per hour are expected in some areas. The Western Disturbance will definitely weaken on June 13 and 14, but rain is expected to continue in some parts. In such a situation, there will be a rise in the temperature tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, but the temperature will start decreasing from June 11. At most of the tourist places in Lahaul Spiti these days the temperature is between 5 to 10 degrees.
