5-year-old child dies after falling from a truck driven by his father in SC A 5-year-old boy died after falling from a truck driven by his own father in José Boiteux, in Vale do Itajaí, in Santa Catarina. Bernardo Balbino Boaventura was hit by the vehicle on Friday (5), when they arrived at the family property. The boy's father, whose name was not released, told the Military Police that he was driving the truck when his son opened the door and fell onto the road. The case occurred in the town of Volta Grande. Teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and the Águia helicopter, from the Military Police, were called to help the victim. The child died at the scene. The Francisco Bertelli school, where the child studied, issued a note of condolence for the loss of the student.
