Rio will have an optional point because of the World Cup Reproduction Rio's city hall defined June 24th as an optional day starting at 3pm in public offices so that workers can follow Brazil's game in the World Cup. The decree was published this Monday (8) in the Official Gazette and the optional item comes into effect from 3pm on the 24th. The mayor determined that the point applies to municipal public offices and that work in bodies whose services do not allow for stoppage, that is, essential services, such as emergencies, are excluded.
