The 6th most populous French department had to revote its 2026 budget this Monday, for a correction relating to “0.6% of its envelope” according to its executive. Last year, Gironde had a deficit of 100 million euros on its budget of 2 billion euros. It has set itself the objective of “guaranteeing a return to annual budgeting in 2027”.
