In almost 1,000 years of existence, the tapestry or, better said, the Bayeux embroidery, a rare masterpiece of secular Romanesque art, had never returned to England, where it was probably made. This will be done in September 2026, since it will be presented at the British Museum for ten months. Today it tells us a double story, that of the only successful invasion of Great Britain and that of incredible longevity, despite the violence of History.
