Two people were injured. According to the Military Police, one of the vehicles was driven by a 48-year-old sergeant from the corporation, who was traveling with his wife and 10-year-old stepdaughter. They were taken to the emergency room in Unaí, but according to the PM, the child and the 37-year-old driver succumbed to their injuries and died after arriving at the unit. The victims were identified as Antonela Vargas da Mota Rocha and Maycon Sidney de Moraes. According to the Military Police, a witness reported that the driver who died had suddenly entered the wrong lane and collided head-on with the soldier's car.
