DHPP headquarters in Cuiabá Reproduction/PJC A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of killing his 12-year-old daughter in Várzea Grande, metropolitan region of Cuiabá, this Sunday (7). According to the Civil Police, the suspect fled the house where the crime allegedly occurred, but later presented himself to the police station, where he was arrested for feminicide. The investigations began after the police received information about a possible homicide in the Serra Dourada neighborhood, in Várzea Grande. The victim was admitted to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in the Verdão neighborhood, in Cuiabá, already lifeless and with several injuries caused by physical attacks. To the police, the teenager's mother reported that she went to the suspect's house around 6 pm to pick up her daughter. Soon after, he left the place running and fled. Upon entering the house, the mother found her daughter lying on the floor of one of the bedrooms, unconscious and with several apparent marks of aggression on her body. With the help of a friend, she took the girl to the UPA, where the medical team confirmed her death. The investigators isolated and preserved the crime scene and called the Official Forensics and Technical Identification (Politec) to carry out expert examinations. According to the delegate responsible for the incident, Nilson Farias, the attacks began after the suspect found an alleged conversation between his daughter and a boy on a social network.
