A 61-year-old security guard was found dead on Sunday night (7) inside a warehouse at the Mooca Subprefecture, on Rua Jaibarás, in the Belenzinho neighborhood, East Zone of São Paulo. The case is investigated as a homicide.
According to the police report, military police officers were called at around 10:18 pm to respond to a report of a body found inside the public property, used as a meeting point to inspect goods seized by the Mooca Subprefecture.
The victim was identified as Lodoil Marques da Silva, who worked as a security guard at the site.
A Samu team was sent to the address and confirmed the death at 10:30 pm. According to police records, the body already showed cadaveric rigidity.
According to the bulletin, the body was found in the warehouse's kitchen and there were signs of violence. Police officers reported that the victim's badge was broken, a pen was found on the floor and the guard's dentures were far from the body. Abrasions were also observed on the neck, compatible with signs of choking.
The document also states that there were marks on the ground indicating that the body may have been dragged a few meters. The victim's cell phone was not located at the scene.
According to witnesses, the last telephone contact with the security guard occurred around 4 pm.
The warehouse manager and assistant reported that they arrived at the warehouse at around 9:20 pm and were surprised by the absence of the guard.
One of them reported that he entered the kitchen, which was closed with a latch and had no lighting, and used his cell phone's flashlight to visualize the environment. He found Lodoil lying on the floor, with a cap covering his face, and initially believed he was asleep.
Later, the person in charge was informed by telephone about his colleague's death. The assistant stated that he never entered the kitchen and, therefore, did not see the body.
At around 10pm, other witnesses — the driver from the sub-prefecture, the other security guard and the person responsible for the location, who is a retired military police officer — checked the situation and called Samu.
The police report records that the property has security cameras.
The case was registered in the 8th Police District, in Brás, as a homicide of unknown perpetrator. The State Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP) was called and will continue the investigations.
