Motorcyclist is injured after crashing his motorcycle into a trailer on Via Dutra, in Resende Disclosure/Federal Highway Police A 63-year-old motorcyclist was injured in an accident involving a trailer and a car on Sunday (7) on Via Dutra (BR-116), in Resende (RJ). The collision occurred at km 307, towards Rio de Janeiro, close to the Fazenda da Barra neighborhood. According to the Federal Highway Police, traffic was blocked and there was a queue of vehicles in both lanes at the time of the accident. The motorcyclist was passing through the corridor when he lost control of the steering wheel and collided sideways with the trailer, causing a fall. Also according to the PRF, the victim was rescued with injuries by teams from the concessionaire that manages the highway and taken to the Resende Emergency Hospital. With the impact, the motorcycle stopped under the wheels of the semi-trailer's first axle. CCR reported that the track was closed while responding to the incident and with a length of 16 km recorded.
