According to the Piepoli polling institute, 80% of Italians have asked themselves these questions before thinking about their vacation plans. The main cause of their doubts about the possibility of taking a break from everyday life is due to the loss of purchasing power linked to the war in the Middle East. The conflict is causing the cost of energy to soar, particularly in Italy. Without civil nuclear power since 1987 and with a government rather hostile to renewable energies, this country is particularly dependent on gas and oil imports.
