In Peru, according to the first results, the left-wing candidate Roberto Sánchez is ahead of the authoritarian right-wing candidate Keiko Fujimori by a very narrow margin. Although the results are very close and will have to be confirmed by the final vote count which may take several more days, Roberto Sanchez could be the next president of Peru.
