"It has a very big impact. And it will not only bring mobility, it will bring a transformation in social and economic issues", highlighted the mayor, Pedro Ishi, at a press conference. The extension is 1.3 kilometers long. The work also includes a drainage system, signage, sidewalks, landscaping, bike path and lighting. According to City Hall, the expansion of the avenue is foreseen in the municipality's Master Plan, with the area included in a Special Urban Intervention Zone.
