Nuclear powers continue to build up and modernize their arsenals

Nine nuclear powers - the United States, Russia, Great Britain, France, China, India, Pakistan, North Korea and Israel - continued programs to modernize and build up their nuclear arsenals in 2025, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) said in its annual report released on Monday.
