The city of Rio recorded the coldest record for 2026 this Sunday (7), for the second day in a row. The lowest minimum was measured between 9 am and 10 am this Sunday (7), when the thermometers at the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) station in Vila Militar, in the West Zone, registered 12.4°C.
The dawn of June 6th had been the coldest of the year, with a minimum temperature of 12.4°C, also recorded in Vila Militar. The previous record for lowest temperature in 2026 was 12.59°C, on May 6, in the same location.
The forecast for this Monday is that the temperature will be between 13 and 26 degrees, without rain.
