To g1, the Director of Security at Franca City Hall, Maurício Gonçalves da Rocha, said that the program aims to strengthen local public security by locating criminals and tracking vehicles.
The identification, according to him, is made by crossing databases from all municipal, state and federal police forces.
"The system is completely integrated. When someone is identified, there is a warning on the computer interface and it turns red and flashes to alert the agent who is monitoring it. If the person has an arrest warrant, no matter the crime, they will leave there."

Agents underwent training
To join the team that monitors the Muralha Paulista monitoring center in Franca, the agents needed to undergo training, according to Maurício.
"The civil guards started. Then, a public competition for video monitoring agents was opened, so these agents work on site, they went through training and now that this new system is being installed, LPR [License Plate and Facial Reading] had a week's training to learn how to manipulate the intelligent tools."
According to the Public Security Secretariat, currently, 216 municipalities are integrated into the Muralha Paulista Program and another 396 are in negotiations to join the public policy.
SSP reported that, in total, more than 125,500 cameras are connected to the platform, which already covers more than 70% of the São Paulo population.
"The expectation is that, with the gradual expansion of the structure and sharing of images, the program will strengthen monitoring at strategic points in cities and expand support to security forces during patrolling and investigations. "
