São Paulo hosts the LGBT+ Pride Parade
The 30th edition of the São Paulo LGBT+ Pride Parade takes place this Sunday (7), on Avenida Paulista, in the center of the capital.
With the theme "The street calls, the ballot box confirms", the event celebrates three decades of mobilization of the LGBTQIAPN+ community and is expected to bring together a crowd at the largest LGBT+ parade in the world.
In these three decades, although historic advances have been achieved, experts and activists warn that many of these rights still remain vulnerable to political disputes and attempts to set them back. (Read more here.)

The concentration began around 10am, and the trams should start moving towards Consolação between 12pm and 1pm, following Rua da Consolação.
Celebrating 30 years of struggle and resistance, the Parade reinforces the importance of occupying the streets as a space for political mobilization and claiming rights.
This year, Brazil also celebrates 30 years of the electronic voting machine. Therefore, the choice of theme refers to elections and the importance of popular participation in democracy. The message is that mobilization in the streets and voting go hand in hand in defending and expanding the rights of the LGBTQIAPN+ population.
Among the confirmed attractions are some of the main names in LGBT+ music and culture in the country, such as Pabllo Vittar, Gloria Groove, Urias, Melody, Pepita, Jup do Bairro, Diego Martins, Thiago Pantaleão, Majur and Katy da Voz e as Abusadas.
