People attacked the car of TMC MLA Madan Mitra in Kamarhati, Kolkata on Saturday night. The incident took place in Ariyadaha area when the MLA had gone for a visit. Local residents threw eggs at the MLA's car while raising slogans of 'thief and thief'. These people were demanding return of the money given as Katmani. A video of the incident is viral. Here, although the TMC leader later claimed that he was not in the car at the time of the attack, he alleged that his driver was attacked. There was a meeting of auto rickshaw drivers at the councilor's house. According to media reports, a meeting was going on outside the house of a councilor of ward number 14 of Kamarhati. Where many people driving auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws had gathered. The demand of these people was that the money given in the form of Katmoney for years should be returned.
