The summit between the European Union and Mexico culminated in the signing of three agreements, among which the Modernized Global Agreement stands out, a treaty that will eliminate tariffs in the agroindustrial sector. The president of the European Union, Ursula von der Leyen, affirmed that the pact covers political and commercial dialogue, in addition to deepening the commitment to multilateralism. Likewise, he announced an investment of close to 5,000 million euros for infrastructure projects in Mexico. For her part, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum reiterated that these agreements do not replace those already existing with other countries, but rather complement them.
