A Paris appeals court found two of the companies guilty of involuntary manslaughter for what has been considered France's worst air disaster. The legal battle pitted the firms against the victims' relatives for 17 years. The amount of the penalty imposed is what Airbus invoices in a day and a half or Air France's income of less than three days.
