Raoni continues to receive support through parenteral nutrition and remains under permanent monitoring by the multidisciplinary team.
During a press conference yesterday, the medical team stated that Raoni's health condition still requires intensive care, as he is an elderly patient and has multiple pre-existing comorbidities. There is no forecast for discharge and family members accompany the chief throughout the hospitalization period.
Raoni was hospitalized again this Sunday (14), after feeling ill at home. He had already been hospitalized twice this year.
"He is a very strong man, but we always have to remember that he is over 90 years old and has comorbidities, in addition to the previous conditions of a person in this health situation. So this really makes him a little more fragile, requiring a lot of care", said the technical director of Hospital Dois Pinheiros, Douglas Yanai.
The hospital also reported that the medical team at Hospital e Maternidade Dois Pinheiros maintains permanent contact and joint discussion of the case with specialists from the Unifesp Indian Outpatient Clinic, including doctor Douglas Antônio Rodrigues, who has monitored the chief's health for decades.
“Assessments and therapeutic definitions have been carried out in an integrated manner through videoconferences between teams”.
