Castanhal will host, on the 4th of July, the Castanhal Cooperation Race, an event that will bring together athletes, families and the community in a program aimed at encouraging sports, promoting health and collecting food for social projects in the municipality. The initiative is carried out by CEAC-Cooperativa Dos Educadores Autónomos De Castanhal, with support from Sicredi Ouro Verde MT/PA, Uniodonto Belém, Sistema OCB/SESCOOP-PA and JR Crono.
The gathering of participants will begin at 5:30 am, in front of Escola CEAC, in the Jaderlândia neighborhood, in Castanhal, a place that will also be the starting and finishing point of the 5km. The route will follow Travessa Merigliano, passing in front of the Castelo dos Sonhos Project, continuing along Rua Francisco Laureano Melo and Travessa Presidente Médici, returning to Rua Dr. Adailson Rodrigues da Silva.
In addition to encouraging healthy habits and community integration, the race has a supportive nature. The food collected through registrations will be donated to the Clube das Mães Project, which serves women in socially vulnerable situations, and the Castelo dos Sonhos Project, which develops actions aimed at children and adolescents in the municipality.
The concentration begins at 5:30 am, with a start at 6 am. To cheer up the runners, after arrival there will be a rhythm class and the awards ceremony will conclude the activities.
The first three placed in the General 5 km category, male and female, will receive trophies and cash prizes. The first place will be awarded R$500, the second with R$300 and the third with R$200. There will also be prizes with trophies for the first three placed in the categories by age group, up to 29 years old, from 30 to 39 years old, from 40 to 49 years old, from 50 to 59 years old and over 60 years old, in addition to the General PCD category and the three largest participating consultancies or teams.
Registration remains open and can be completed via the JR Crono website. To participate, athletes must pay the registration fee of R$40, plus the platform fee, and donate 3 kilos of non-perishable food.
The kits will be picked up on July 3rd, from 8am to 12pm and from 2pm to 8pm, at Escola CEAC, located in the Jaderlândia neighborhood, close to the São Cristóvão Church, upon delivery of three kilos of non-perishable food. Only up to five kits per athlete will be allowed to be collected and there will be no delivery of kits on the day of the race or after the end of the event.
More than a sporting competition, the event seeks to strengthen solidarity and cooperation, promoting community mobilization around a social cause.
