In addition to the debt with the municipality, the concessionaire highlighted the increase in costs to maintain the service as one of the factors that contributed to the shutdown. In a note, the City of Itaperuna stated that the debt relating to the current administration, estimated at around R$400 thousand, will be regularized. Regarding the total value indicated by the company, which, according to the municipality, reaches approximately R$4 million, the administration informed that the case will be evaluated together with the legal sector to define the best form of negotiation and settlement.
