Registration for 150 places in free professional qualification courses offered by the Municipal Department of Development, Employment and Income (Semdec) begins this Wednesday (17), in Salvador. The initiative is carried out in partnership with Senai and aims to expand opportunities for entry into the job market. The vacancies are intended for areas with a demand for labor, such as industrial cooks, pizza chefs, naval electricians, vehicle production operations and the production of delicious bread. All courses offer free certification and transportation assistance to participants. Among the opportunities, two courses are exclusive to women: industrial cook and pizza maker. Each training course offers 25 places and will be held at Senai Dendezeiros, with a workload of 180 hours. The industrial cook course requires a minimum age of 18 and completed high school. Classes will take place in the morning, from 8 am to 12 pm, between June 29th and September 11th. Training as a pizza maker also requires a minimum age of 18, but only requires complete primary education. Classes will be held in the afternoon, from 1pm to 5pm, in the same period. In the industrial area, 50 places are available for the vehicle production operations course. Classes will be offered in two groups of 25 students, in the afternoon and evening shifts, at Senai Dendezeiros. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have completed high school. The course will have a workload of 260 hours and will be held between June 29th and October 6th. Another option is the marine electrician course, which offers 30 places. Classes will be held in the morning, from Monday to Friday, between June 29th and August 28th. To participate, you must be 18 years of age or older and have completed high school. For those who want to work in the food sector, the delicious bread course offers 20 places at Senac Aquidabã. The training lasts 24 hours, with evening classes between June 29th and July 6th.
