“Children of the Creuse”: the reparation law for displaced people from Reunion adopted by the French Parliament

Between 1962 and 1984, more than 2,000 Reunionese children were torn from their land to join France. The text, approved unanimously on Tuesday by the Senate, after the vote of the Assembly, gives them a right to compensation in the form of a fixed allowance.
