♬ Singer and songwriter from Rio, rapper Amanda Sarmento releases her first album on Friday, June 19th. Recorded by the artist with musical production by Iuri Rio Branco, the album is called “Eclipse” and involves rap, trap and R&B over 12 tracks.
Preceded by the singles “Quente” and “Submersa” (this one featuring Amanda with Tássia Reis), the album “Eclipse” features the participation of Dona Maria Poeta – 89-year-old writer and grandmother of actress Clara Moneke, Amanda Sarmento’s manager – in the interlude “Chega mais caso”. São Paulo rapper Ruas MC performs with the singer on “Eu Já Sufri De much”.
The eight tracks that complete the repertoire of the album “Eclipse” are “Assalto”, “Eu não ligo”, “Manifesto”, “Me leave livre”, “Mulher”, “Soul eu”, “Obsessão” and “Vc no duty”.
Amanda reports that she presents an album built from experiences, transformations and discoveries, making an analogy between the creation of the album and the astronomical phenomenon. "The eclipse is a phenomenon that happens when something covers the light for a moment, but without erasing its existence. I think this speaks a lot to the emotional cycles we live in. The album 'Eclipse' is a work about going through shadows, losing ourselves, finding ourselves again and understanding that darkness itself can also reveal things about who we are", says Amanda Sarmento.
