Duda Beat Joseph Clarkson/Disclosure Duda Beat, Tribo de Jah, Mega Pop Show and Mombojó are among the attractions confirmed for the first edition of the Psica Festival in the Amazon Summer. The line-up, released this Tuesday (15), brings together more than ten attractions and focuses on a meeting between national artists, Amazonian music references and Marajoara cultural groups in a free program on the 17th and 18th of July. The event will be held in the village of Joanes, in Salvaterra, in the Marajó archipelago, and marks the festival's debut in an edition focused on the Amazon summer. The proposal, according to the organization, is to bring together music, culture and tourism in one of the most popular destinations in Pará during the holiday period. ✅ Follow the g1 Pará channel on WhatsApp The program also highlights the strength of Marajoara culture with participations such as Grupo Paracauari invites Mestra Jesus, Balanço de Maré invites Mestre Zezinho Viana and Encanto Marajoara, as well as names such as Layse & Lambada da Serpente and Rock dos Brabos. On the decks, the festival continues to connect dance floor and territory with DJs such as DJ Cleide Roots, DJ Pedrita and DJ Rafael Cassiano. According to Jeft Dias, director of Psica, the curatorship sought to maintain the identity built by the festival over the years, bringing together artists from different territories without hierarchies. "We thought a lot about the curatorial profile that Psica already has, of placing national artists together with artists from our territory, everyone in a leading role. And we applied this in the context of Marajó", he stated. From pop to reggae Among the names from outside the Amazon, Duda Beat arrives at the festival in the midst of the most recent phase of his career, marked by the work "Tara & Delírio". The singer from Pernambuco is one of the main representatives of contemporary Brazilian pop. The band Tribo de Jah, one of the pioneers of national reggae, is also part of the program. With almost four decades of history, the group from Maranhão has performed in several countries and is considered one of the references of the genre in Brazil. Mombojó returns to Pará after a long period without performances in the region. The band from Pernambuco, which has completed more than 20 years of career, will bring songs from their most recent album, "Solar", to the festival, as well as hits that marked their trajectory. Amazon summer as a cultural destination For the organization, holding the event in Marajó is part of a strategy to strengthen the Amazon territory as a cultural and tourist hub. "We think a lot about the local public, about ourselves, and from this it ends up impacting a massive audience in the territory and spilling over to other places. While other regions are experiencing winter, we are at the height of the Amazonian summer", said Gerson Dias, director of the festival. According to the organization, almost half of the audience for the 2025 edition came from outside Belém. The Marajoara edition is expected to attract visitors from different regions of the country during the July holidays.
